What’s been happening:

With only a few semesters to go until retirement, I am looking forward to moving to a milder climate where I can be outside more of the year. Spring Semester 2008, I spent in Vienna with 12 students from my university. It was great to live in a European city for a semester and, as an added bonus, to experience a well functioning public transit system. I never missed having a car, no fueling, no repairs, and no looking for a parking place! Along side a milder climate, a public transit system is at the top of my list.
